Russian Film Director Yusup Razykov becomes Chairman at Northern Character 2018
Chairman of the Festival-2018 is the Russian film director Yusup Pazykov
Yusup Razykov is a well-known Russian film director. This year he becomes the Chairman of the “Northern Character” Film Festival.
It’s not his first visit to the Murmansk region.
He presented his film “Shame” (Styd) which tells about the life of submariners, about love and devotion. It was screened at “Northern Character” in Murmansk. Last year the director presented his film “Turkish saddle” (Turetskoe Sedlo). Now he is working on two films “Sword Dance” (Tanets s Sablyami) and “Kerosene” (Kerosin).
Yusup RAZYKOV (1957, Tashkent, Soviet Union) studied philology and worked as a lighting man in a film studio until his military service. Eventually, he took the path of cinematography. He graduated in 1986 from the VGIK in Moscow and then wrote several film scripts. He also wrote and directed about a hundred episodes of a TV series. The Shepherd won an award at the Moscow International Film Festival.
Since 1990 works as a director of Film Studio in Uzbekistan.
